Position Summary:  The Operations Analyst will analyze inventory and manufacturing transactions to ensure data integrity.  To interpret, analyze, and extract actionable information through utilization of ERP and other database systems. Maintain and support ERP and interfacing systems.


Database Administration:

  • Maintain and support the ERP System at GMR.
  • Perform administrative database tasks such as refreshing of test databases, setting up user security, maintaining BPM workflows along with database parameters, and ERP training.
  • Modify, enhance, or adapt existing systems and integrate new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.
  • Help develop and grow system usage by enacting programming changes
  • Work with onsite IT personnel and 3rd party vendors to administer and manage the ERP and interfacing systems
  • Provide end user support and training as necessary.


Data Integrity - Lead improvements and process changes affecting data integrity.

  • Educate end-users in understanding significance of validating data.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental meetings to resolve data integrity issues and impacts.
  • Develop dashboards and monitoring events for tracking data including, but not limited to, transaction metrics by user.
  • Determine areas for improvement and submit plan for education/process change.
  • Review all proposed inventory adjustments.  If deemed necessary, approve the adjustment transaction, determine root cause and recommend actions to eliminate future adjustments of the same kind.
  • Perform monthly tasks to review and validate Operation module transactions in the ERP as part of month-end close
  • Develop inventory accuracy best practices including, but not limited to, appropriate cycle counting techniques.


Training - Support end-users by providing application support and training as required.

  • Recommend best practices for performing tasks within the ERP for capturing data and ensuring accuracy and upon approval implement
  • Document and communicate changes throughout the user organization, supporting change management and compliance.
  • Guide the development of SOPs and develop training strategies as necessary.
  • Responsible for initial training of new users in the ERP

Reporting – Support end-users and management by providing meaningful reports.

  • Create dashboards and management reports as required.
  • Determine usefulness and accuracy of “legacy reports”
  • Develop updated versions of “legacy reports” if deemed useful and accurate in today’s environment.

 Problem Solving – Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information.

  • Debug/troubleshoot programs to help determine where issues reside
  • Generate possible solutions and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
  • Escalate issues to management or vendor as appropriate for resolution

Improvements – Review potential enhancements that will lead to increased efficiency and accuracy.

Examine manual data collection tasks to determine phase-out potential or automation.

  • Propose organization structures that would improve information flow and accuracy.


  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or related field preferred. Minimum of three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required in a Manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP functionality required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communication.
  • Must use utmost discretion in all presentations, correspondence and communication with and for staff and top management.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, MSAccess) and adept at creating reports using report writing programs (ex: Visual Studio, SSRS)
  • Prior database administration (dba) experience, SQL programming capabilities, and workflow creation using BPM (Business Process Management) a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

 Must be able to:

  • Push, pull and lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, walk, reach and bend as required.
  • Sit at a desk and operate a computer for an entire shift.
  • Wear safety gear and required PPE.
  • Pass employment physical including a drug and alcohol test.
